SMÖJEN

From the beaches of Gotland to the forests of Småland, SMÖJEN has found its expression. The inspiration comes from stacking stones on the beach during my childhood to hiking in the forests. Stones are stacked all over the world to show that "I" have been there and exist. 

 

SMÖJEN is made of Swedish wood and in this project I have investigated different structures and how the different woods react to the same technique.

 

SMÖJEN can be assembled due to the fact that the bottom and table top are threaded with a round rod that goes through the entire table. The parts enclosing the rod are loose, so you can easily change the order. Created in 2020.
